My concept for this project was how children are at the peak of freedom, yet are also at the peak of being trapped by rules and other requirements set by their parents. Children do not realize how well they have it, they always want to rush growing up, until they are grown up and realize it is not as good as it seems. As a child you have no responsibilities, you can do whatever you want, everything is all part of the learning curve of growing up; children idolize older kids, like teenagers, not realizing the amount of responsibilities that come with being that age. Children need to realize that growing up is a sacred part of life, it should not be rushed.
This was my first project, and how I first learned how to use the equipment correctly. This project utilizes two halftone prints (child, and moon), as well as one photo negative print (line work).
