I have always been influenced by music to create some of my best work. For this project I was influenced by the song The Stars Are Projectors by Modest Mouse; I particularly felt moved by the ending of the song, which is the featured audio in this project.

My typographical elements are hand selected asterisks in about 40 different typefaces, as well as a celestial map in the background. I decided to use the different asterisks due the fact of looking like stars on their own, projecting them onto myself dancing. I wanted to combine my two greatest passions, design and dance.

As a Performing Arts Scholar receiving the highest earned award, I wanted to showcase an aspect of my life that I have been doing since I was three years old. Dance has been the most reliable creative outlet for me, and I have worked so had to get to the skill level I am at today. I had the honor of growing up being part of the competitive dance team at Tina Marie's Dance Academy; I am continuing my love for dance through my college career as being a member of Vis Viva Dance Company, a student run dance club at Rochester Institute of Technology. This semester, I am part of the Company Choreography Committee alongside two other amazing dancers!

I used different overlay and animation techniques with each clip shown, overall enhancing my knowledge using Adobe AfterEffects.
